Graziella Modica, Flower therapist

Graziella Modica

Flower therapy has been part of my life since 2007. I tiptoed into it because my thinking about the Bach f lowers was that they only worked by placebo effect. In 2007 I took my first compound, and after initial scepticism I had to change my mind. These harmonising and balancing essences had also had an effect on me who did not believe in them, but although I had tangible results, the rationality and’scientifically proven’  of my profession still left me with doubts. The Biomedical Analysis Technician that I was and am, a profession that I currently practise part-time at the laboratory of the Beata Vergine Hospital in Mendrisio, did not leave me much room to manoeuvre in those days.

Over time, these two worlds, seemingly so distant and different, havebecome increasingly complementary, and after attending the first courses in flower therapy, the in depth studies followed, followed in 2021 by the diploma as a flower therapist at the A.F.F. school (Approfondimenti e Formazione in Floriterapia) in Meride. Flower essences are neither medicines nor phytotherapies, they do not rely on chemical active ingredients but it is the energetic-vibrational information of the flower that is stored and transmitted through water. Quantum physics and in particular studies on the memory of water give us the scientific answers to what in the eyes of sceptics might appear to be alchemy and give immense value to Dr Bach’s studies. Last year I obtained my free practice and so what was only a passion can finally become my profession too.  This space within Harmonia would finally allow me to follow in Dr Bach’s footsteps. The discoveries he made in the 1930s are only now really beginning to blossom, revealing their full potential. Having discovered it, I cannot remain defenceless; I want to participate in its dissemination, thus helping my personal journey towards my own psycho physical well-being.
